“Comcast launched the Xfinity for VidiPath service in the second quarter of 2015 and we are preparing our subscribers for the availability of VidiPath Certified retail devices,” said David de Andrade, Fellow at Comcast Cable. “We are excited about the benefits these products will bring to consumers. VidiPath supports our continued transition to Xfinity X1 IP video delivery by expanding the number and variety of consumer devices that are able to directly receive Xfinity X1 IP video using an Xfinity app.”
ABI Research projects that VidiPath Certified devices will be available in approximately 40 percent of all U.S. cable households that subscribe to advanced services by 2016, and 70 percent by 2020. Learn more about VidiPath from this in depth report.
